What Motivates Us?
As parents, we make continuous efforts to stay up to date with anything that could help us raise and educate healthy, smart, and happy children. On our quest for information, we saw what lack of information, support, and education can do, and….
We Want to Help
We saw parents spending fortunes on worthless or even dangerous products or services. We saw mothers accepting violence for the sake of their children, and parents resorting to it as a means of educating their children. We witnessed marriages falling apart because the spouses couldn’t rekindle their relationship.
We know of parents who gave in to depression because they couldn’t make ends meet, and we saw painful custody battles, victims of excess care, and victims of neglect or abuse. Many of these problems could have been avoided or solved with some advice and support provided at the right time and a little effort from everyone involved.
We took it upon ourselves to provide advice and support to anyone facing such problems. At BebeYoga, you will find informative articles, tips and solutions for various issues, interesting stories, and unbiased, detailed reviews.
We realize that we are not able to work miracles, and each person and situation is unique. However, if we can make things better for one person, our efforts are worth it. On one hand, we have the precious satisfaction of knowing we made a difference. On the other hand, we keep learning, improving, and doing something we like.
We Want to Discourage False Advertising and Promote Quality
As (future) parents and consumers, we often looked up information about the products and services we were interested in. We found so many conflicting reviews and rating differences that we were left confused, unsure of what to think.
More than once, we bought products that were supposed to be the best on the market only to throw them away or return them because they were good for nothing. Many merchants nowadays turn to false advertising and purchase excellent product reviews or pay commissions to those who write them just to sell more.
Many greedy affiliates publish stellar reviews for worthless products only to drive more sales and earn their commission. We despise such practices, and BebeYoga is our way of fighting against them. We expose bad products and scams for what they really are, and we give credit to the products and services that deserve it.
If you’ve read any of our reviews, you know they present the good and the bad in every product or service. Their goal is to help you make smart decisions and investments. Together, we can show merchants and affiliates who lie in their presentations and reviews that they won’t get away with it.
Perhaps this way they will learn to invest their money and effort into providing more and better, rather than in creating false images and expectations. You too can join our efforts and submit your own reviews of products and/or services you have tried.
What Products Do We Review and What Should You Expect?
It goes without saying that, since children and their well being are the primary focus of our activity, most of the products and services will be related to them. We may also cover products and services aimed at parents, grandparents, and educators because we believe that it takes healthy and happy adults to raise happy and healthy children.
At BebeYoga, you can expect to find unbiased, in-depth reviews of:
- Baby gear
- Toys
- Personal care products
- Food
- Diets
- Supplements
- Technology
- Websites and platforms
- Books and guides on childcare, education, and relationships,
- Any product or service that is new, interesting, and available exclusively online
In fact, as you will notice, most of the products we review are available only online or through home-shopping networks. We hate the fact that the only way to see them is through the photos and videos the merchants make available, and we make it our mission to find out what hides behind those.
We present not only strengths but also weaknesses, cost, shipping, and returns information and any “tiny” details merchants don’t want you to know. In our reviews, you may find comparisons or references to other similar products, as well as advice on how you can make the most of your purchase.
You can expect thorough, in-depth, unbiased, accurate reviews in simple and easy to understand language. We also promise to remain open to your feedback and experiences, to adjust our reviews according to user reviews and feedback.
If you have experience with a product or service you see reviewed on our website, don’t hesitate to contribute your own rating and review to ours. If you want information on a particular product or service, get in touch, and we’ll do our best to provide it.
Finally, if you tried a product or service that we have not covered and you think others would be interested in it, send us your review. This way, you will help others enjoy the same benefits you have or avoid making the same mistakes. When writing it, make sure you follow our Review Guidelines.
How Do We Come up with the Reviews?
Usually, our community members are the ones who suggest the products or services for us to review. Sometimes, we see products or services that seem interesting or too good to be true and we decide to look into them. We may also come across product names when doing research for other reviews.
We promised transparency, so we feel we should warn you that, although many reviews are the result of our hands-on experience with the products or services they refer to, others will rely on research alone.
You may feel tempted to trust reviews that rely on hands-on experience only, but do you really think someone in their right mind would try so many products from the same category or that do not answer a necessity? Would you try ten types of health supplements that you don’t really need just to see if they work or cause side effects?
We doubt it, and we know we wouldn’t. The purpose of preliminary research and comparison is just to avoid that: having to buy and test several products. This is especially true in the case of products made with dangerous materials or ingredients, posing a risk of allergy, injury, or having poor ratings and suspicions of scam.
More than that, we believe that a single person’s experience with a product is not enough to justify the label of good or bad, worth paying for or scam. Each person is different, has different standards, and different expectations. This means that what works for one may not work for another. But when most reviews agree on a product’s worth or lack of it, you have to give them credit.
Therefore, by all means, feel free to assume that the reviews you read on our website are the result of research. We will make sure to clarify when they are the result of hands’ on experience. Leaving experience aside, rest assured that we take the time to do our homework and find out all there is to know about the products and companies we cover, including how hands-on users rated or reviewed them.
You can expect a lot of critics and, occasionally, enthusiasm. We take the fight against false advertising and exaggerations personally. Implicitly, we get excited when we discover merchants who tell the truth and products that live up to their claims.
For you, this means that you can safely use our reviews to guide your acquisitions. But don’t expect us to tell you how to spend your money (we may warn against spending it on a particular product, though). We believe you have the right to make your own decisions, so we will only give you the facts you need.
Why Should You Trust Us?
Don’t! Just keep an open mind. Check out one or two reviews, the user comments and ratings accompanying them, and do your own research. You won’t find discrepancies, and you won’t find unjustified claims or recommendations.
Another way to put us to the test is to create your own reviews and submit them. We only ask that you follow our guidelines, because we are trying to maintain a certain quality standard, provide a minimum of information, and we treasure mutual respect.
What Do We Stand to Gain?
We’ve already explained above that our goal is to support informed purchases and discourage false advertising, to create a close-knit community and support network for parents and child caregivers trying to be the best they can be.
We’re not going to lie to you by claiming there’s no money involved. Keeping a website up and running, doing research, and putting together the content you read on our website takes time, effort, and costs money.
The money has to come from somewhere. The main source is Google AdSense, a program that allows us to get paid when you click the ads that Google displays on our website. Some of the ads may be related to products or services that we reviewed. Others may be connected to your browsing history.
We would like to clarify that we have no control over the content of the ads. We decide where they can be placed, and Google Adsense determines their content using specific algorithms that take into account your online activity (Google searches, browsing history, and more).
Perhaps you’ve noticed (you surely will if you pay attention) that you see the same ads, or different ads from the same merchants, on several websites and even on the social media platforms. That is all Google’s doing, not ours.
We do not endorse or make any guarantees regarding those products or merchants, so if you decide to buy them, do your own research. If an ad on our website does gain your interest and you click on it, we will receive a small commission from Google. Its value depends on numerous factors out of our control.
Another source of financing for our project is affiliation. We have joined some merchants’ affiliate programs in order to receive a small commission every time one of our readers buys something or signs up for particular services following a link on our website.
But be sure that we would never deceive you or take advantage of your confidence to earn a few cents or dollars. You can see for yourself that our reviews have nothing in common with the stellar reviews you find on other affiliate websites.
We do not rephrase the exaggerated claims of some merchants or the deceiving praises of their affiliates. We give you both the good and the bad, the pure result of our research, and we invite you to do your own research and contribute your own reviews and ratings.
We treasure you, BebeYoga readers and community members, and we wouldn’t be here without you. Our goal is to keep you with us, active and engaged, for as long as possible, and we won’t risk losing you as a reader and community member only to promote a product or service unworthy of its price and your money.
Besides, should we even try, we know the truth would come out eventually, and it would cost us our credibility. Why take such chances when transparency and honesty are much safer and more rewarding policies? On the contrary, let’s work together and force others to be as transparent and honest about their activity!
The Bottom Line about Our Website and How it Works
BebeYoga is a community to the well-being of which everyone is expected to contribute. We provide information and advice to help you raise a healthy and happy baby and make the right decisions regarding your purchases.
In return, we expect feedback and help to polish the images we create for our reviews. We’re only human, so, if we make mistakes, feel free to correct them. If you think we did a good job at something, feel free to express your appreciation in a comment, or by liking or distributing our posts from your social media accounts.
Your opinion matters to us, and we encourage you to express it. We only ask that you stay polite and respectful, in compliance with our Review Guidelines. Differences of opinion, education, means, or priorities do not justify insults.
We insist to maintain a friendly vibe in our community. BebeYoga has to remain a place where anyone can ask questions and receive answers and advice without worrying about being judged or criticized. Similarly, anyone should feel comfortable sharing their experience, good or bad, without fear of being banned.
We want, you, our members, to feel that the truth still matters and that you can make a difference. Be free to express yourself and ask for help, feel at home, among friends, and know that you are respected and appreciated!
